Even if you’ve never been in the market for siding in your life, it’s still possible that you’re aware that Continental Siding is the World’s Greatest Siding Company and that’s because we officially earned that recognition when we appeared on an episode of ION Network’s “World’s Greatest.” In this award-winning national television series, a host sets out to find the most amazing and unique companies, products, people, and travel destinations. In the 13th season of the show, “World’s Greatest” cemented something that we’ve known all along and that’s that Continental Siding is the world’s greatest siding company.
While some national viewers may have been unaware of who we are and how we do things, by the end of our episode it was abundantly clear that we are the world’s greatest siding company. From starting as a small Mom and Pop siding company to creating our own signature polymer siding to combat common problems found throughout the rest of the siding industry. It’s for this reason that Ion Network took a trip to Independence, MO, to find out more about our company.
In the episode, Jerry O’Neal pointed out that “Continental Siding is one of the world’s greatest because we specialize in manufacturing and the installation of seamless polymer siding that goes from one corner of the house to the other all in one piece.” While the products and installation are one aspect of the business, owner Alec Cook adds that “Continental Siding is unique because our mission is to help our customers love their home and we focus on providing confidence in their purchase, pride in their home, and peace of mind for their future.
Continental Siding Manufactures and Installs Our Own Siding
One of the reasons we were named the world’s greatest siding company is that, unlike many other siding companies, we manufacture and install all of our siding ourselves to have top-quality products for our customers. This also gives us complete quality control which is uncommon throughout the industry. In addition, the patents that Jerry O’Neal was able to acquire for his seamless polymer siding and Perma-Strate® Wall System has allowed us to use our own installation process while utilizing high-quality products. “Our siding is made different, installed different, everything about it is absolutely different.”
Furthermore, another aspect that sets Continental Siding out as the World’s Greatest Siding Company is the way that we treat our installers. Most companies will only work from March-October and shut down in the Wintertime. Instead, we provide a greater commitment to our installers and ensure we won’t lay them off in the winter and will keep them busy throughout the entire year. This is important to us because we’ve noticed that the longer we keep our installers, the more experienced they are with our unique products and installation techniques, and the greater the quality becomes for our customers.
Continental Siding even works with their employees to put them where they are best suited to help them grow and flourish throughout their time with the company. No one is a greater example of this than our owner, Alec Cook. Alec came into the company as a part-time employee who was working his way through college and was promoted multiple times until eventually purchasing the company outright from founder Jerry O’Neal. It was the partnership between Jerry and Alec that has made Continental Siding grow into the World’s Greatest Siding Company. It was Jerry that created the top-tier seamless polymer siding and acquired the patents for that product but it was Alec who saw the potential in those products and was able to get in front of them and promote them to help build Continental Siding bigger than ever before.
