Continental Siding Provides Truman High School Graduate With College Scholarship
Apr 30, 2021At Continental Siding, we understand that we are truly a product of our community which is why we made it an initiative to invest in the future of our community by offering a college scholarship to local students. Since 2017, Continental Siding has offered an essay writing contest to award a scholarship to one deserving high school student in the area. In 2019, a Truman High School Graduate was presented with a scholarship for $12,500 which was matched 3 to 1 by KC Scholars through the Community Services League for a total donation of $50,000 towards her college scholarship. Our owner Alec Cook, who is a Truman High School graduate himself, understands the importance of investing in the future of the community in which he’s honored to do business.
Upholding Strong Values in Today’s Business World
Continental Siding owner Alec Cook recognizes that the topic of our essay contest, upholding strong core values in the business world, is no coincidence as this is how he has always prided himself. In fact, Alec Cook has always placed the values of the company over the amount of business it does. This is why it’s important to him to see the next generation of business owners take the time to recognize that values in the business world are just as important, or more so, than turning a large profit year after year.
At Continental Siding, we strive to uphold the same core values in which we are trying to get our essay writers to focus on including truly exemplifying what it means to exceed expectations in terms of products, customer service, and building long-lasting relationships with our customers and community.
