Our Response to COVID-19:
Dear Continental Siding Customers and Friends,
COVID-19 has created and continues to create challenges for nearly every person and business. At Continental we have focused on our core values of helping homeowners love their homes and providing the best place to work for our staff. We’ve stayed focused on our same core values while making several adjustments to our daily lives to make sure we are doing our part to slow the spread of COVID-19.
As an essential business, we have remained open and available to service Missouri and Kansas homeowners. Home improvement projects have become even more important for people spending more time at home than ever, and because our installation work is done outside, we have remained busy. We are very thankful we have not laid off a single person during the pandemic. Since March, through stay-at-home orders and different phases of re-opening plans, we have been able to provide uninterrupted service to our customers. To make sure that service is as safe as possible, we have created three response plans to make sure we continue to adhere to the ever-evolving CDC guidelines. As fellow members of this community, we take our responsibility very seriously in doing our part to slow the spread of this virus and to protect our customers and employees. In March, we quickly closed our showrooms to walk-in traffic and remained open by appointment only. All office staff worked from home while in-field staff continued to serve homeowners per the CDC guidelines.
Well after the conclusion of the Stay-Home Order, we slowly reopened showrooms to walk in traffic again. To date, several team members are working safely and effectively from home while all others are reporting to the office again. The four updated policy and procedures manuals we have put in place since late March to today for our employees and installers focus on the following:
- Protect yourself.
- Protect each other.
- Operate the business.
- Keep a positive attitude.
Specific things we have done in response to Covid-19 include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Spacious showrooms allow for social distancing.
- Additional cleaning is implemented as well.
- Per the updated CDC guidelines we are not requiring mask but are providing masks free of charge to anyone who would like to where one while visiting our showroom.
- We are requiring our infield company representatives to wear a mask in your home unless you, the homeowner, specifically say it is okay that they do not wear one.
- Hand sanitizer is provided.
- Utilizing curbside pickup for installers to limit warehouse foot traffic and promote social distancing
As a local, family-owned business we thank you for your understanding and support during this time. Your money stays in our local economy when you choose Continental Siding because we are the only company that makes and installs our own siding in Kansas and Missouri. We are ready to pivot for whatever comes next, and we commit to staying focused on helping Missouri and Kansas homeowners love their home.
