Philanthropic Business of the Year – MO/OK/KS
Nov 09, 2023Continental Siding: 2020 Philanthropic Business of the Year
Continental Siding has been named the 2020 Philanthropic Business of the Year by the Independence Chamber, and we couldn’t be prouder of this prestigious recognition.
A Heart for Service
At Continental Siding, giving back to our community has always been at the core of what we do. It’s not just a responsibility; it’s a passion that drives our team to go above and beyond. Service is woven into our company’s DNA, and we are deeply committed to making a positive impact.
Supporting the Community During COVID-19
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we knew we had to find ways to help our community without direct personal contact. One initiative was building pantry boxes, which were in high demand. We reached out to Alec, our owner and CEO, and without hesitation, we sprang into action. Our goal was to support single moms in need, and we provided both a note of encouragement and a $500 gift card.
The impact of this gesture was immense and heartwarming. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of community and the difference we can make when we come together.
The “Someone in Need” Program
Our “Someone in Need” program is something that personally inspires us. It allows every employee to direct up to $500 to an organization in need. We believe in the power of paying it forward, and through this program, we’ve been able to touch the lives of families facing challenging times.
Investing in Our Community
We firmly believe that supporting local businesses is one of the most important ways we can help our community thrive. When local businesses succeed, everyone benefits, and that’s why we’re proud to invest in the community and support our fellow local businesses.
30,000 Meals Donated to Harvesters
Our collaboration with Harvesters, a regional food bank, allowed us to provide over 30,000 meals to those in need. It’s a testament to the power of collective action and how even small contributions can add up to make a big difference.
100 Days of Giving Initiative
The 100 Days of Giving initiative was another way we demonstrated our commitment to our community. We believe in the strength of local, family-owned businesses, and we wanted to ensure they had the support they needed during the pandemic.
Keeping What Matters at the Forefront
At Continental Siding, we believe in supporting those who support us and making our community a better place for all. Thank you to the Independence Chamber for this incredible honor. Your support of local, family-owned businesses like ours has allowed us to make a meaningful impact on our community during these challenging times.
We’re proud to have been designated as your 2020 Philanthropic Business of the Year, and we look forward to many more opportunities to serve our community in the future.
